The fundamental starting point of the Christian Worldview

The fundamental starting point for the Christian Worldview, is undoubtedly the belief in God, and in His love toward mankind. Some very basic truths that shape Christianity include. A belief in God and His love, a belief in absolute unchangeable truth, a belief that reveals himself to mankind, and that He wants to have a personal relationship with man. One main truth that Christianity is centered on is the belief that God is.

The entire Christian worldview hinges on our relationship with God. If we don't know God, then our lives become void and empty. Our lives are in need of direction from God. We must believe that God rewards us when we seek to serve Him and know Him. One other fundamental principle of Christianity that deserves elaborating on is the belief in absolute unchangeable truth. Without absolute unchangeable truth, the Christian Worldview crumbles. To truly have a Christian Worldview, we must believe that the views we hold are indeed true, and in compliance with God's will.

Why Christians can be confident in Absolute Truth

The most revealing evidence to absolute truth exists in our own hearts and minds. Truth is revealed to us through God's creation in a force called Natural Revelation. Natural revelation is the process in which we are convinced of God's attributes because we see what he created, and how he relates to it. The Bible speaks directly about Natural revelation in Romans 1:18. "…His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made…" Notice the phrase, "…things that are made…" our first knowledge of Absolute truth comes not from the Bible, but from what we see. When we look around us at the universe, we see order and instruction, not chaos. God made the world to be subject to Him. When we look within ourselves, we see a conscience, an inner knowing of right and wrong, and a vague sense of absolutes. God put it within in us to want to know him.
