Christian Leadership in my life is to be strong leader to those around me that would follow me. Christian Leadership means to lead, not by the impulse of our own hearts, but to lead based on God's laws and His will. One of the most important things a good leader must demonstrate, is the willingness to not compromise his views. The worst thing a leader can do to his followers is compromising his views to conform to someone who disagrees with him. A leader must be willing to take the criticism of others, while holding to the truth. I may never lead a large, or "important" group of people; but even so, it is important that I do God's will for my life regardless of my personal expectations. To be a good leader means to serve, not boss, or terrorize people to follow you. A true leader lets his followers decide for themselves if they want to follow him; he does not force them to make decisions. One of the greatest examples of a leader-follower relationship is that of Jesus and His disciples. Jesus did not force his disciples to follow Him, he simply said, "Follow Me". He let them decide whether they wanted to follow Him or not. Christian leadership also means following the right people in our own lives. It means learning from our mistakes. Christian leadership is how we build our country. Christian leadership involves not only leading others, it involves leading in our own lives. We must follow the direction in God's word, even when it may be a tough decision. The choices we make as leaders affect not only ourselves, but also those that are following us. To truly be a good leader of ourselves and those under us, we must follow the Bible and its leaders. A good Christian leader looks to God in prayer. God is our ultimate Leader, regardless of how much power we hold in this world.
