How America became a great nation.

America's successes and greatness can be attributed to many things, but several stick out as very important. The main reason that is apparent even today is America's founding on the principles laid out in the Bible. The majority of Americans believe deep in their hearts some form of Christianity. Another major factor in America's greatness and prosperity is the overwhelming amount of freedom we enjoy even on a daily basis. Not only do we have religious freedom; we have economic freedom, moral freedom, freedom of thought, etc. These freedoms are offered nowhere else in the world, which makes us the most prosperous nation in the world, not only economically but also politically. The world looks to America as the liberator of those who do not enjoy the freedoms that we so often take for granted.

Our government is so unique in the sense that, by way of the constitution, restricts itself. The Constitution has certain measures in place to prevent the government from becoming a tyrannical dictatorship. The biblical role of government is to protect society's private property, and to defend the nation. To often government meddles with the affairs of the church in the sense that government tries to 'fix' society's problems. Government's role, as defined in the constitution, is to protect and defend.

Our governmental system is unique because we have a free market economy. Under the most restrictive economic system in the world, (Socialism) the government divides the society's wealth to 'balance' the economy. Rather than helping the economy, however, Socialism takes away the incentive to work. Our government has systems in place to prevent the rise of socialism.

I conclusion then, the American system of government is different from almost every other government in the world.
