Might be, but I kind of hate reading on a screen. And if I were to print it out-well, I'd just prefer to buy the thing and have it in my library, y'know? I think audiobooks are the best way to go as far as "electronic books".
Being able to search the texts of every book, well that would be something. But I agree with the critics on this one. There are too many copyright issues involved in it. As an aspiring author myself, I wouldn't want to publish anything that I knew would be easily stolen online.
Now, granted, iTunes showed us how digital music could work legally, but I just can't see a digital Barnes and Noble or Borders being nearly as successful.
