This Date In 1945

Yup. An atomic bomb was dropped at Hiroshima, Japan. On the ninth, a second bomb was dropped ending the second bloodiest war in American history.

Other news, sorry for not posting. I've been quite busy lately.

and millions of innocent civilians died. generation after generation was affected by Leukemia and didn't get a chance to live out their lives all because of one bomb in one war. I'm sure history really came alive for them.. or dead as the case may be.

Ok, here's the deal. It was either drop the bomb, or head in for an invasion which probably would have cost millions of lives.

I didn't say that what they did wasn't necessary. Most people don't know the full effects of that bomb. I have read books about children who were affected and it caused me to see the situation through another person's point of view. There are children who have their whole lives ahead of them who find out that they have leukemia because of something that happened when their grandparents, or even great-grandparents were alive! Yes, it may have been necessary, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be sorry for those who died because of it. Judges 19-21
