The fourth
Happy 4th of July! The 4th is always a special time for me. It brings to mind everything I've read about our nation's history. I always think of all the patriots that have died to literally purchase the freedom that we enjoy, and, I'm afraid to say, often take for granted. Every year I think that American citizens are becoming less and less aware of the price or freedom. However, each year on Independence day, it is apparent to me that people really do care about how much freedom costs to protect and defend it.Let us hope and pray that our country will always remain as free as it is today.
I watched a good portion of the "Capital Fourth" concert on PBS tonight, as well as part of Nick and Jessica's Tour of Duty on ABC. Both were pretty good programming. Nick and Jessica were kinda secular, but what can one expect from two stars from an MTV reality show? You know, the more I think about it, this is starting to make me sick. Why in the world did they do that?
