One very important reason to study history is to know our heritage as a people, a nation, and a country. Our heritage is very important; it shows us where we are coming from, and it also offers clues about where we are going. The main reason to study history, I believe, is to learn about mistakes people have made in the past. If we look back on history and learn form our mistakes, the we can live a more prosperous future. Another very important reason to study history is to learn about how God workd in lives of people throughout history.
